Based around a Lenovo Thinkpad W540, with an 2.9 GHz i7 intel processor, 16 Gb ram, 500 Gb hybrid HD, and extern hd capacity for sound libraries and larger projects. For the first time, I´m feeling confident enough to base my entire setup on a computer. I´ve been stress-testing this for a couple of months now - and absolutely no crashes at all!
